As the architect of the Small Village Home Project, Aisha has been self-funding this project for a number of years. She is licensed with the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Montgomery County ADAMHS Board, the Ohio Adult Care Facility Association and Residential Support.

“This expansion project is both ambitious and impactful, with a focus on creating a supportive and nurturing environment for adults dealing with severe mental illness and/or a psychotic break,” she states. Dedicated to empowering consumers with independence and support, the development of this transitional village with purposely designed homes is a visionary approach to adult mental care.

This project not only aims to provide a comfortable living environment but also to redefine the standard of care for individuals who are chronically homeless and frequently require emergency services. Her goal is to design the layout and architectural features of the new houses to create a harmonious integration between the historic 1850 farmhouse and the newly developed village homes.

After more than 4 decades in the business, making this population her family, she realizes that they too, have dreams, hopes, and wishes like we do. She believes that together, we can illuminate the path to recovery.
